Aurora Aksnes was born June 15 in 1996 in Stavanger, Norway. Popularly referred to as Aurora and sometimes stylized with uppercase letters as AURORA. Her debut E.P. Her name was also recognized from a post by Katy Perry where Perry endorsed the track Runaway. Make it a day to celebrate her birthday. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was locating a keyboard in her loft, and becoming captivated by its music. Her parents May-Britt and Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to explore music and not just as professional or as a pastime, but to grow. She started writing the songs she wrote herself. In addition to Bjork as well, she mentions Leonard Cohen as an influence. When she was told by her mother that her songs would be a catalyst for her to gain popularity, but also help other people realize their significance on the planet and realise the potential of the songs, she decided to perform in public. When she was six she began to learn on the piano. When she turned nine began writing her own songs. Her family didn't hear about it until she turned fourteen. Aurora was not a dream of her childhood. Aurora claims she loves composing songs. To her, music is the best way to convey anything.
